Color

Tawny

Nose

Powerful with intensive peaty (Lapsang Souchong) and sherry flavors. Plenty of lemon juice and liquorice complete a punchy nose.

Taste

An explosion of flavor. Bold and rich concentrate made of peat & sherry. Lapsang Souchong and liquorice are the main players with lemon zest in the background.

Finish

Wooooooow!!! Never ending, mainly on peat and Lapsang Souchong. Slightly bitter. No chance to taste any other whisky the same day.

The ultimate orgasm for peat maniacs like me. Taste this and you know, where Ardbeg's reputation comes from.

proberly one of the best Ardbeg ever.
onely for sale at the distillery at that time.(i think it was 2002).
And a little under-exposed,( At that time) for it's outstanding quality !
I was lucky to be able to buy 2 of #2392 and 2 of #2394.

in 2005 my wife and i where there again on a 5 week tour through scotland, i bought 2 of #2398 as well.
now the outstanding quality is also getting an outstanding price !
