Nose: Sherry, dry oak, red fruits - sour, smooth
Mouth: Sherry, green fruit?, oak, boarderline cardboard - but still works
Finish: Fruity, sherry, oak, tanins, tad bitter towards the end
Comment: Gets more oak influence with age, also a smooth nose, but the fruityness is a bit in decline. Nose is less interesting than the 15yo, but the mouth is a tad better than the 15yo.

Colour: Rich amber
Nose: Complex, with distinctive butterscotch, sherried fruit and peat smoke aromas.
Flavour: Big, full-flavoured, with excellent balance, develops slowly, full of sherry sweet malty tones, and a touch peat smoke.
Finish: Long lasting and smooth, with a hint of spice and sherry sweetness.
Comment: Hints of oak, complexity but finely balanced. Combines the smoothness of our younger whiskies with the greater depth of our older expressions.

Color

Amontillado sherry

Nose

Marcipan, plums, raisins, flowers, honey, chocolate, (Plum in Madeira chocolate bar from Anthon Berg). No smoke, no salt, no peat. Hints of alcohol.

Taste

Medium sweet, light salty, light sulphur,

Finish

Plums, date, honey, tobacco ash, old wood, dry earth and dry leaves. Hints of pepper.
Medium sweet, light bitter and hints of salt

Comments

Very pleasant and balanced. A must-have whisky that suits almost every occasion.

Color

Gin clear

Nose

dry raisins, wood, green apple, sweet malt, savoury grains/cereals, citronat, little bit of chocolate and a touch of smoke. (83)

Taste

nice malt notes with a slightly perfum-y/sweetener feel, woody vanilla spices with a slightly bitter note, charred cookies, sherry/chocolate and a bit of smoke (84 / w bitterness 77)

Finish

bitter/drying, more wood (slightly burnt now) & vanilla spices, marzipan, some distant chocolate sweetness (chocolate syrup/ice cream sauce), red apples, wood stays & turns cardboard-y &/ bitter occasionally (83/ w bitterness 74)

Comments

Remember - whisky scores and impressions are highly subjective and situational by nature - so don't go and buy whisky according to someone else's taste...

Fuller sherry. Light, fragrant smokiness. Clean oak.

Taste

Firm at first, then a surge of buttery notes in the
middle, moving to fruity dryness.

Finish

Touch of almonds and bitter chocolate.

A verry well balanced speysider, vanilla and toffee with the typical sherry dried fruits. Some ideas of smoke and a very welcome part of wooden notes. With a very pleasant long and warming finish. If you try to explain Speyside Whiskys with typical sherry to a newcomer, you may open this bottle.
