Color

Gin clear

Nose

Explodes on big juicy dry fruits (think dried apricots, prunes...). Wonderfully sweet vanilla sugar. Some nuttiness. Fantastic mouth watering nose and despite the massive ABV it is not really killing your nostrils. Simply amazing.

Water would open the nutty side of it.

Taste

Bang! Right there with the nose - dried fruits, delicious and sweet. Pricks a little on the tongue but it's 60% after all. Great body. Takes loads of water, but honestly, I just love sipping it neat (small sips though, else I would need to call the fire department)

Finish

Medium finish. Sweet at first with earthy notes coming later. Cigar box (OK, I admit I never licked a cigar box, but I think it would taste like this)

You've got to love Glenfarclas. They are just awesome. The whiskies they produce are always honest and deliver what you expect them to deliver. No hidden agendas.

An important and intense whisky classic interpretation of what should be a whisky sherry: clean and crisp. With a drop of water unleashes aromas of raisins, dates, prunes, sweet spicy notes of Aranca. The finish is long and persistent with hints of malt crystallized.

Aromas with hints of Tofee, milk chocolate, sweet sherry and smoke

Taste

Strong character with a creamy texture of sweet malt, fruit, milk chocolate, rich oak wood, peat and smoke with hints of toffee and cinnamon

Finish

Long aftertaste of peat, oak and smoke

A full 60% abv, yet the sweet, rich, spicy distillery character is still very much in evidence. A very small drop of water is recommended to open the flavours.

A very nice drop. Sweet sherry with some smoke. Sweet and very powerful on the palate explode into a wonderful whiskey. Sherry and wood, in an alluring combination. To drink in small sips

caramel au chocolat noir et jus de viande rouge quelques effluves de fruits exotiques(mangue,papaye)

intéressant mais pas très complexe

Taste

le jus de viande disparaît pour faire place aux fruits moins exotiques(orange melon prune)et le caramel s'adoucit et se rapproche d'un caramel au lait.très sherry.

pas mal du tout

Finish

finale longue avec retour sur le caramel et l'orange très bien équilibré malgré les 60%.l'ajout d'eau n'est pas nécessaire et à même tendance à le dénaturer.
