Spicy and woody aroma, pepper, cinnamon,
anise, mint, orange peel, pear, red apples and furniture polish. Medium
sweet taste, eucalyptus, anise, pepper, floral honey, cherry in rum
chocolate, apricot kernels and malt. Medium long, herbal and malty end.

Ripe fruits, apricots, floral, herbs, heather, oak

Taste

Sherry, vanilla, pepper, spices like cardamom, toffee, caramel coated apples.

Finish

Long, powerful, warming, some spice and pepper as it fades

The nose is great, floral, ripe fruits, sherry. Taste incredible, toffee, apricots soaked in honey, some spice. Body, well balanced and strong however chewy. Finish, strong and long, lots of sherry and pepper on the finish. price good, presentation old style box.

This batch is loaded with flavor and a awesome find in Santa Monica. These old label bottles are a collectors dream because they really encapsulate the distilleries hard work and efforts to continue to produce the best drinking scotch around

Color

Mahogany

Nose

Raisins, dried fruits, cheesecake, cherry compote, lots of vanilla, hints of citrus and slight notes of fingernail polish. It seems to be very deep and sweet. Dark chocolate is also noticeable.

Taste

A little sour at the beginning, with hints of citrus, deep sweetness, vanilla, roots, some dryness and prunes. Cheery in chocolate accompany the taste at all times.

Finish

Medium long, sweet and dry with cherry to it, hints of roots, delicate pepper and prunes.

I can understand why people like the A'bunadh batches but at least this batch had way to much rubber in the taste for my liking. Although this faded away somewhat after the bottle was open for a couple of days. It is however full of flavours and that is a big plus.

I will not rate this untill I at least tasted 1 other batch to compare but it is not likely to go above 85.

Think for yourself and feel the walls become sand beneath your feet
