Color

Chestnutoloroso sherry

Nose

(24/25) An odd mix of black pepper, assorted other peppers some of which have heat, and stewed carrots and tomatoes. Also has a slight sweetness note to it also. It is an incredibly wonderful smelling whiskey, and this is what keeps me going back to Rye Whiskey.

Taste

(20/25) Like a black pepper, caramel, and green apple syrup. Quite strong, though has mellowed with a bit of open bottle time.

Finish

(15/25) This has mellowed a decent bit, but still a little bit of a punch in the face, and overwhelming kick of pepper, and alcohol. While its still an incredibly delicious whiskey, its a bit too young.

Balance: (18/25) Not bad, but could be better.
