The label on this bottle is wrong.

Quote from Willy JJ:
This whisky is Inverleven and not Dumbarton. It is malt whisky made
in the Inverleven stills which were located in the Dumbarton complex,
hence the labelling from Cadenhead`s. The whisky called Dumbarton is a
grain whisky.

I keep the bottle as a Dumberton because otherwise nobody can find it.

Color

Pale straw

Nose

Warming with the flavors of cereals and caramel at first nosing. Reminds me of oatmeal. Fresh and fruity notes are coming up, mainly apples. All pleasant but a little simple.

Taste

Much more intensive now with a superb taste. Toffee and chocolate, spirity with a lot of spices - mainly pepper, ginger and nutmeg.

Finish

Long and spicy.

Comments

Only the second bottling that I have ever tasted from this distillery and it is definitely a very good one, specifically the palate is delicious.
