Love the smell. Caramel / honey, warm. Gives a lot of expectations when tasting it, which are false. Probably the biggest contrast of a lovely smell and poor taste i`ve experienced so far in my young whisky fan life

The downer is the balance. It tastes too young. Alcohol taste is too hefty and is ruining the other good flavors. Especially the finish is a let down. It all points to a easy mellow whisky, but with uncontrolled heat ruining it all for me.

Adding water mellows the alcohol, but also ruins the flavors.

Comments

A Dean Ston whiskey age without indication of young whiskeys in the final phase of maturation matured on new American oak barrels, hence the name Virgin Oak. It is a light and soft whiskey with pleasant flavors and tones, drink fine road and has a very low price.
