Deep gold

Nose

Après une longue aération : très fruité (fruits exotiques et mandarine), des notes savonneuses. Un peu résineux, du tabac et du miel et encore des fruits.

Taste

Très puissant. La bouche est ultra fruitée : fruits exotiques et aussi abricots, et une pointe d'agrumes. Après cette déferlante de fruit, la bouche se fait plus boisée, un peu plus austère et amère. Il y a également du cuire.

Finish

Longue entre les fruits et côté salin qui fait son apparition pour la conclusion

Comments

Très bon. Besoin de temps pour qu'il s'ouvre mais après c'est une corbeille de fruit.

Farbe: dunkles Bernstein
Nase: zuerst überraschend Torfrauch , Barbecue, Karamell, Schoko, Sahnebonbon und dann leichte Fruchtaromen, sehr kräftig und sogar etwas phenolisches
Gaumen: huh, leichter Rauch, exotisch-fruchtig-würziges, Rauch! (old Bowmore (70s) like) etwas Alk, schön kräftig und wieder würzig-süß Sahnebonbon. Zum Schluß zeigt sich das Fass und wieder diese Lochside typischen Fruchtaromen.
Sehr maskulin und braucht viel Zeit

Taste

La complexité du nez se retrouve en bouche. L'attaque est exotique et quasi-effervescente, évoquant brièvement un soda arôme tropical. Une légère touche fumée, puis des notes douces de Pina-colada se frayent un chemin avant d'être submergées par une déferlante d'agrumes acidulés et exotiques (mandarine, et surtout beaucoup de citron lime). La fin de bouche présente l'amertume du zist de citron et le piquant du gingembre.

Finish

Longue, dans le prolongement de la bouche, acidulée et légèrement amère.

Comments

Un dram qui demande du temps, beaucoup de temps. Laissez-le lui, vous ne serez pas déçus.

Nose

sofort sehr pr?sent, jede Menge Heu, eine angenehme S??e macht sich breit, sodann eine leicht muffige Erde, die den insgesamt eher trockenen Charakter gut unterstreicht. Leckere trockene Kekswaffeln mischen sich nach ner Weile unter die nicht ?berm??ig kr?ftigen 54%, die aber vollkommen ausreichen, um diesen Lochside in den Nasenfl?geln gut zur Geltung bringen lassen.

Taste

Tabakbl?tter, recht bitter im ersten Antritt, dann wiederum stark malzig, Spuren von Trockenfr?chte in einer eigenartig bitter-s??en Komposition. Etwas kraftvoller als in der Nase.

Finish

leichter Nachbrenner mit ordentlicher L?nge, wobei die Aromenvielfalt der Nase unerreicht bleibt.

Sehr sch?ne und wunderbar runde Nase mit einer klar definierten Aromenvielfalt. Am Gaumen zwar kraftvoller aber etwas einfacher strukturiert. Rundum ein guter, aber nicht ?berragender Malt

Amontillado sherry

Nose

Mainly grass and green tea with additional notes of cinnamon, tropical wood, white coffee, oranges and smoke. Whilst the oranges are well hidden behind the grassy, leafy and woody notes, the smoke is pretty obvious. A tasty combination - nothing wrong with the nose.

Taste

Warming and tasty with a rich flavor. Plenty of tea - peach flavored concentrated green tea. And lots of notes from the wood - namely resinous, liquorice, pepper and toffee. Then there is tonic water.

Finish

Long with notes of wood extract without the unpleasant dryness but becoming spicy and slightly bitter.

Comments

It is always nice to taste a Lochside and this is a good one - rich and complex with a lot of notes resulting from the 29 years in the oak cask, without becoming an oak juice.
