Nose

Je ne comprends pas ce Glen Garioch, qui change à chaque dégustation. A la première, je trouvais cela très gourmand, très crémeux (84), à la deuxième un peu moins et à cette troisième, plus rien...

Besoin d'aération au nez. 48�° moyennement intégrés... Nous sommes sur du jeune, un peu fruit vert (pomme), de la vanille, du bois, un peu de miel. Une fois oxygéné, ce nez n'est pas si mal.

Taste

Encore un cro-magnon d'alcool-bois-vanille. Mais qu'est il advenu de ce côté werther's original ? Si, peut-être un peu de toffee à la fin de bouche, mais très discret.

Finish

Encore quelques jours en otage en fûts vanillés.

Assez longue. Un peu d'herbe séchée.

Etrange sentiment. Pas convaincu par cette dernière dégustation, tout en ayant le sentiment qu'il y avait un bon produit derrière tout cela. Qu'en est il des autres Garioch ?

Nose

fruits verts (pomme, poire), vanille, céréales, bois jeune, miel, un côté gâteau beurré. Assez doux et frais, sympa même s\'il fait jeune.

Taste

un peu d\'alcool, assez sèche, amère, miel, vanille, fruits verts. Moins agréable que le nez.

Finish

moyenne, sur les céréales, l\'herbe coupée, un peu d\'épices, moins fraîche.

Nose

Intense aromas of sweet caramel, butterscotch, butter and white chocolate with hints of pepper, nutmeg and soft grain.

Taste

Dry and full flavor of ginger, butter cream and vanilla followed by fruitiness and citrus.

Finish

A pure and gentle aftertaste of fruit and citrus, refreshing tasty!

Sweet and refreshing, typical of Glen Garioch. 1797 Founders Reserve is a tribute to the tradition of craftsmanship required to get the best Highland whisky to create a tradition for over 200 years is maintained!

This is a top draw malt whisky, one of the best i have tasted so far. High in complexity it is bursting with strong flavours. Every time i took a drink i would find something new. Fantastic.

Loads to smell here, popcorn, fruit, fresh out of the oven hot cross bun, prunes and spices.

Taste

A sugary sweet taste and that oak hits you first followed by those fruits, honey, vanilla, liquorice and brandy.

Finish

Long and sweet and for some reason i'm geeting curry flavour.

Nose: fresh vanilla, macaroons, fruit (apple ?)

Taste: sweet, liquorice, slightly spicy

Finish: pleasant bitterness, dry, tingling. medium

Nose

Généreux et rond, sur des senteurs sucrées et fruitées. Les notes que je parviens à isoler tendent vers la pomme, la poire, le miel, les céréales grillées et un soupçon de vanille.

C'est un nez très plaisant et enjoleur que l'aération ne fait que renforcer.

Taste

La bouche suit bien le nez, on prend les composantes de ce dernier et on mixe le tout. Par contre, des notes ressortent plus que d'autres. Ainsi, je trouve que l'on penche plus vers un côté boisé/vanillé avec quelques épices. Le côté fruité est un peu en retrait.

Petite déception donc par rapport au nez.

Finish

Moyennement longue avec une petite astringence.

Une belle expression, très flatteuse avec une bouche un peu en-deça (défaut de jeunesse peut-être ?).
