Color

Gin clear

Nose

wood, old used leather/suede, dry & sour raisins, slight adhesive plaster (rubber, glue & desinfectant), earthy ( maybe even with a few composty/sulphur notes), (85)

Taste

mealy sherry, dried plums, a slightly metallic / iron touch, old books, some pumpernickel, (82)

Finish

raisins, a few bitter woody & sulphury (tar & motoroil) notes, pebbles, warm but somewhat thin towards the end and dries out. (77)

Comments

Open bottle oxidization (~6 months): much juicier sherry than I remember & much less notes that felt off on the first few occasions & hardly any sulphur notes apart from a few faint matchsticks now. Still, the mealy sherry & the metallic touch remained which I find slightly irritating.

Remember - whisky scores and impressions are highly subjective and situational by nature - so don't go and buy whisky according to someone else's taste...
