Color: deep, reddish glow
Smell: rich, fruity with a hint of port and very spicy!
Taste: exceptional port, very rich!

Beautiful whisky!!!

Bearing: 21 years aged in traditional barrels, then 30-year-old Port barrels for a period of 4 to 6 months.

What I love about the PortWood finish is its complex palate and the nose
is incredible. One of my absolute favorites. The coffee, mocha, orange
peel, and the finish is just sensational. This is the one to get if you
want that wow factor for any gift.

Remember it\'s maturity that makes whisky great! That\'s why I Love The Glenrothes!

Color

Chestnutoloroso sherry

Nose

Very fruity with marmalade, figs and a spot of Bazooka Joe.

Taste

Very spicy with pencil shavings, cocoa and a little sandalwood.

Finish

That bitter finish almost comes on again, but the port-wood seems to have transformed it into a huge spiciness that zings around for a while and then settles into a gentle woody calm.

Comments

This is nice stuff.

It's better to have drunk it all than never to have drunk at all.

Nose

Port and strawberries! Remarkably strong strawberry aroma

Taste

Port all over it but I don't find it too much. Mint, surprisingly
Straw too

Finish

longer than the others. Lingering cream, oak, port, honey. Yummy stuff

This is much better than I remember it. (Mind you I do have lots of Balvenies so I know I am a lover of it)

Sweet and mellow, gentle notes of sherry and port, honey and cream. Each drop is worth it`s money, every sip is an experience in cpmplexity, is it now port or sherry? More nutty or even the malt? Marvelous, this bottle belongs to every bar...

Nose

Die Nase ist eher mittel. Herb, fruchtig, Sherry, leicht fassig.

Taste

Der Geschmack ist recht gut. Bitter, salzig, Sherry, pfeffrig, suess.

Finish

Der Abgang ist lang. Leicht, weich, trocken, breit, laenger waermend.

Comments

Gutes Teil, sollte allerdings mehr Vol % haben.
