"Only the finest casks of The Balvenie are considered by Malt Master David Stewart for inclusion in TUN 1401. A selection of seven traditional whisky casks and three sherry butts - some of the rarest treasures from The Balvenie Distillery`s Warehouse 24 - have been skillfully married together and left to rest for several months to create a single malt that enhances its already precious parts. This unique and unrepeatable small batch of TUN 1401 is characterised by a deep and complex oakiness"

Taste
deep, layers of vanilla oak, oily tannins, initial sweet gradually develops into deeper richer oak.
Finish
bursts of cinnamon, nutmeg, citrus, longgggg

This is the best Balvenie I have tasted to date. Better than Macallan 30! Better Than Glendronach 1968, 33 yr! Not better than Glenrothes but very very good! I plan on buying more when it comes available, sold out at the moment. I have posted a shoplink, so get it while its hot.
